Is This Real Life?

Well, if it's not nobody bother me cause I like it.
Last weekend we went hiking for days...and got rather spontaneously lost. But it was pretty great.

We were even Godly about it. Reading the Bible in the midst of crazy beautiful creation? Legit.
Hang Loose!

Best picture of the day right here.
Here we stopped to pray for our friend Sam who was taking the MCAT.
Apparently I blinked...but still awesome.
Man love.
It was a day of weird moods for all of us...but especially Lizzie. Observe.

And again...

Well Hello World

It is Friday. Oh glorious, wonderful Friday of no class or reading. Last week I read 398 pages for class. It was intense a little bit. But the cool thing is I can feel my eyes getting faster and my brian getting bigger. Don't get me wrong, I love to read. But whole books in one sitting is a little much. Just sayin. And when you're all done...this is what your eyes look like.Hahaha! I love this drooping eyeball action right here...

And this is what the Institute will do for you...

But seriously it's so good. Everyone should go through this I think.

Also...I don't know how to upload videos from youtube on here but here's a link to a cool video you all should watch. Courtesy of my friend MJ.

Internship!!

Well, after much apprehension and confusion on my part I finally found out what I'm doing for my internship. It's a group called Axis, that travels around to different private high schools and teaches world view.

I was told that I was not going to get to anything musically because it's too hard to get all the required hours. So I basically expected a desk job.

And now for the twist in this rad God story...I interviewed with the Axis people (who, btw, were not taking anymore students but graciously met with me anyway) and they weren't gonna take me till they found out that I'm a musician. They had a school in the midwest request music as part of the program and they had no idea how to fill that need... until along came me! So they offered me a ten day trip to the midwest as my internship. It would be over spring break and will fill all of the hours required for the whole semester. And I WILL BE LEADING WORSHIP FOR OVER 200 KIDS. And we're talking legit worship, not the stupid trite stuff. And so God knew what I needed and what they needed and put us together and it's amazing.

So, God is faithful and I'm so excited about what this internship will do for me musically and leadership wise. Also I'm so excited for what God's doing in my heart. His hand is so evident in my life. I also will get to tell my testimony to 200 high schoolers. It's basically gonna rock the world y'all so hang on.

P.S. This is how I'm feelin' right about now.

For Some Reason Mornings are Awesome.

I sleep fine, then at 5:45 my body goes "Hello world!" and it's impossible to sleep more. At first I blamed the time difference, till I realized that it's an hour earlier in CA. Theory squashage. So I don't know but it's rad.

This was the retreat pretty much in a nut shell....God hit my reset button basically...if you wanna know more ask me but for now I'm choosing to be vague.
I stayed inside mostly cause I didn't feel like being cold...which I pretty much already was the whole time anyway. My roommates in my lodge room were different than my real roommates. They were awesome. Cill talks in her sleep and so I slept with my camera next to my head so I could film her. But in the end it was Laura who talked...she sat up and started petting the ceiling with her finger and said "oooo!" Then she proceeded to tell me she was looking for the film..."you know the film on the ceiling in the cameras they have all over the place." Ask me about that too and I'll show you the video.

Well Horn Creek was beautiful and God did a lot in my heart. I'm excited for what's next.

Don't Eat the Butter!!

Because it was definitely not my roommate's, which I assumed it was, and turns out has been in the fridge for many moons. Bleh. But enough about old butter.
This is Caitlin!! She's my super cute little roomie.
And this is Lizzie! I share a room with this wonderful person (y'all). And down here...
Is our...yup. Walk in closet. That's right. You heard me.
We're actually like stair steps when we all stand up straight. And my face is red cause Lizzie is a personal trainer and kicked my butt working out just moments before.

Self explanatory right?
Yeah....Lizzie and I didn't plan this. We have the world's cosiest room. (Y'all) should come visit us real soon!!!

Where am I...and what's this white stuff?

Hey people whom I love dearly, since I don't really have time or energy to call all of you individually, I thought I'd use my artsy blog to update y'all (as my southern roommates say) on my first couple days here at the Focus Leadership Academy.
So, the boring stuff you don't want to know first...the drive was fine. No snow. No ice. Lovely roads. And then when my dad and I arrived in Colorado it finally snowed a little, which I am not used to but whatever. My dad and I had a heck of pleasant time hanging out during the drive and the day before move in day. We scoped out all the cool stuff in the area and found really great restaurants in states where nothing seems to exist. For instance...

This place? Is in Wyoming and had the worlds best hamburger I
have ever eaten in my entire life. Plus it had cool old cars and gas stations
and pictures of old movies and actors. Like a mini and better Red Robin.
Twas legit.

My roommates are also incredibly legit. God did me a solid and provided
super chill girls that I'm already super fond of. Pictures of them and my
sweet little apartment to come.

That's all for now folks...I'll fill you in on the rest of the coolness as it
unfolds.
